Our Purposes

The purposes of SouthGate Baptist Church are as follows: 

• Through building a sense of community.
• Through acting as a family of faith.
• Through supporting and encouraging each other in times of celebration and need.

• By teaching, resourcing and making available materials regarding the Christian Faith.
• Giving people places and opportunities to ask questions and explore answers found in the Christian Faith.
• Encouraging people to be life-long learners in matters of the Christian Faith.

• By helping people to discover their God-given passions, abilities and interests.
• Assisting people to develop those passions, abilities and interests.
• Aiding people to deploy those passions, abilities and interests in the Society, Calgary and around the world as they are given opportunities to do so.
